What does a "quiet room" mean?

My latest reservation I was offered a checkbox for quiet room under the Special Requests section. What does this actually mean in practice? I assume everyone wants a quiet room. All I can think of is maybe they have a floor they stick everyone who makes this request on under the assumption that guests with children, students, and other noisier types are less likely to check the box? I'm just not sure in general how a quiet room could differ from any other room.

Also, while I'm at it is there any way to put a credit card on file with my GP account so I don't need to fill in my card each time?

Thanks!
