Sales Engineer
Position Summary
This position is responsible for the development, growth, and maintenance of the customer base and sales results. The majority of duties are performed at our Peachtree City, GA office (Metro ATL).
Key Position Responsibilities- Handle inbound sales leads calls to convert calls into sales
- Contact existing and prospective end customers by telephone to maintain and grow sales
- Develop and qualify sales leads
- Travel to visit potential clients
- Develop and grow long-term relationships with customers
- Manage and interpret customer requirements – speak with clients to understand, anticipate and meet their needs
- Meet regular sales targets
- Work with independent field representatives to deepen penetration at existing accounts and to develop new account engagements
- Monitor and guide activities of reps by analyzing input received and other feedback including monthly reports
- Record and maintain client contact data
- Support marketing activities by attending trade shows, conferences and other marketing events
- Make technical presentations and demonstrate how a product meets client needs
- Provide pre-sales technical assistance and product education
- Offer after-sales support services
- Solve client problems
- Help in the design of custom-made products
Position Qualifications- Degree in Electrical Design or Electrical Engineering (BSEE or BSET)
- Minimum of 2 years of technical sales experience
- Experience with electronic components
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize multiple functions to meet required deadlines while maintaining the highest level of quality and accuracy
- Proficient in a Windows based environment
- AutoCAD and/or Solid Works experience a plus
