Surely this is a complaint against the layout of Suvarnabhumi airport rather than the airline. I agree that it is a large airport (although I would be surprised if you walked 2km between gates given that in a brisk walk you will probably achieve 3km/hr). If you have problems with mobility I would recommend that you contact the airline beforehand to request assistance. It is a regular scheduled service – 65 minutes seems fine for most passengers to make a comfortable walk between the gates (you yourself were able to achieve it in 25 minutes with a comfortable 40 minutes before your plane departed) . If you were particularly keen to visit the lounge it might have been more expedient to select a later departing flight?

Agreed. I’ve endured the delights of US airports. Flying on US I’ve been selected for ‘SSS’ scrutiny at my departure. Arriving at the hub airport I have once again gone though the ‘SSS’ procedure despite being in a controlled and restricted environment at every point of my journey where the only contact I can have is with other passengers and airport staff who have passed through security screening. Not sure who started this trend? Is it the Thai’s copying US authorities or vice versa? Hopefully your complaint will persuade the Thai airport authorities to drop this ridiculous security measure and we can then use this as a precedent to persuade the US carriers to ease up a bit on their security?.

Whatever for ?. You are writing a letter of complaint to Thai Airways and at the same time informing them that you are going to publish your complaints on an internet forum before they have had a chance to respond. Most people have the decency to allow the airline to answer their complaint, explain their reasoning, offer compensation (if appropriate) before they broadcast to a wider audience.
