I don't think that this will be reserved purely for HON. I mentioned this before in other posts. I think that LH will base a lot things on the flown HON Circle miles. And there will be a lot of longtime SEN that have more HON Circle miles than a onetime HON.

I count myself as becoming one of these onetime HON since I don't think that I gonna keep my crazy flying pattern for the next 10 years or so. However in the past I have always been a SEN with around 150k HON Circle miles per year anyway. No matter if I had to renew the SEN or not. And that will most likely stay that way.

Some friends of mine just make sure they reach the 130k threshold every second year. Or even move their home address out of Germany to only have to fly 100k every two years. And if you then look at some of these cheap C or F offers from Turkish Airlines then it gets really simple to become SEN or keep the status. Obviously these customer are important for LH, but they are less important than constant flyers.

So personally I think that just moving the level to 1 million HON Circle miles would be enough here to kick a lot of previous potential candidates off the list.
