After a leisurely swim in the hotel in the morning, we took a taxi to the airport. Check in was again smooth, and they offered to check us all the way to Chicago, but we indicated we were going to spend a night in Munich, and asked that the luggage be checked only to Munich. Then we visited the Shanghai Airlines lounge. While there’s wifi, the signal was quite weak and we saw a few people walking around with their notebook to search for better wifi reception area. There were quite a few snacks and fruits to choose from in the lounge.

The business class seat on the 747 was the same as that of the A340. However, this time we were in seat 2A and 2C, the very front of the aircraft. On United’s 747 flight, this would have been the First class section. We did enjoy this section of the plane more, as the seat configuration is 2x2 as opposed to the 2-3-2 in the rear section.

We had spicy tuna and Chili spiced chicken for appetizer, and they were actually better than the main entrée Potato Gnocchi. Then we had chocolate mousse cake and fruits for dessert, followed by Lindt’s chocolate and coffee. They also offered cup noodles and banana for mid-flight snacks. And before landing, we had the duck and prawn for the second dinner meal service.

We flew past Poland on our way to Frankfurt, and we really wanted to visit Krakow again. Oh well, we are sure we will do that some time in the future.
