As someone who lives in CHS, I am less than thrilled with the MIA service. A lot of people here were hoping with some sort of ORD or JFK deal. The cruise market here is pretty big but only in Feb and March. No cruises go in and out of here any other month so if your argument is the leisure traveler catching a boat, you are way off in that respect. Charlestonian's only migrate to MIA or FLL to catch a cruise and that is about it. I don't see this sticking around very long. We don't need one stop service to the carribbean when we have the ocean 10 miles from the airport.....So, I'm sure I wouldn't be the only one not to use this service so expect the cancellation notice to come by April 10.

I guess all those cruise ships parked in the Port of Miami today are just waiting until February to depart? Or is it only people in Charleston that don't fly down in August? I'm confused.
AA is entering the market since it has over 100 O&D passengers and a very high average fare. AA has made every single attempt at these small Southeast markets for MIA work so far since they started these routes in 2004. No reason this won't work.
But yes, lets add CHS-JFK to feed Europe. The CHS-Europe market is one-fourth the size of Miami-Charleston, but it makes more sense.
