I am new to this whole NWA thing (coming from UA) and was matched to Gold. Most of my flights are on DL and it always says upgrades are "Requested" but I never get upgraded. Further, when I ask at the desk, I'm always between 20-30 on the list. Normally I book Q fares or higher and am normally on MD-80's.

Is this standard, or do NW people have lower priority on DL? Is there anything I can do to remedy this or am I SOL?
