Yes, I used to do it from time to time when Roo Route seats were difficult to come by. Mind you, in the old days of 1W bonus offers coming out, I did LHR CPT JNB HKG SIN SYD without getting outside the airport and I would not recommend doing that to anybody! OK, so I did have a meeting in SIN terminal for a few hours before hitting SYD. The only time I got landside was to walk from CPT international to domestic. Sadly, I haven't got to JNB for a couple of years.
