Quick clarification to see if things haven't changed....

I searched through some old threads and it appears from those that if you fly on Qantas metal with a BA flight number you will not get elite bonuses. Is this still the case? (The most recent mention I could find was from early 2008.)

If so, any tips what to do with the LHR-SYD segment on an AONE4 that is currently booked as a BA flight number (not sure why the agent did that) on the A380?
