Took a little longer than I expected, but here you go.
DISCLAIMER - all this is presented for informational purposes only, this is what I found on one cable sample using my aging eyes and a multimeter. I take no responsibility for your usage or misusage of the information, etc, etc, etc....
The seat end of the cable is a 9 pin "mini-DIN" male connector - of course there's no official DIN standard for 9 pins, so there are several flavors. This appears to be the one Wikipedia calls "9b":
Code:
1 - Composite Video (Dock Pin 8)
2 - A/V Ground (Dock Pin 2)
3 - Audio Right (Dock Pin 3)
4 - A/V Ground (Dock Pin 2)
5 - USB Data+ (Dock Pin 27)
6 - USB Data- (Dock Pin 25)
7 - Audio Left (Dock Pin 4)
8 - USB/Serial Ground (Dock Pin 11 & 16)
9 - USB 5 Volts (Dock Pin 23)
I intend to try and get some male and female connectors to make a "virtual seat" and then a generic A/V input cable to prove out the theory.
