The cold platter you describe sounds like "Sissi" and "Franz" combined. I guess the difference between the two menus must be the timing of the flights. LH436 was due to arrive in ORD at 1:45PM but was delayed for more than one hour. Even if it was on time it would have been 8:45PM in Germany. I found the second meal (really a snack) to be not substantial enough for the length and the timing of the flight.

However, it was one of the better C meals on LH recently and the Austrian chef did a much better job than his compatriot last year.

I usually have fresh fruit for dessert but had to try the Schloss Fuschl cake.
