Award availability can be difficult to get, on both legs. You should be looking as soon as seats are released 11+ months before departure.
Note, QF sometimes offers no F on the flight to JNB. This may be scheduled in advance or (as in my case) changed very close to departure.

the BA First lounge in JNB is not much to crow about, think mini domestic QP. The J lounge is the same, just dirtier.
BA lounge at JNB is okay since it was refurbished. Still gets crowded though.

PER-JNB is on South African not Qantas (QF codeshares on SA), and has no F.
