Just buy a HUP or YUP fare for US domestic travel. Those fares are generally speaking not THAT expensive, but they are getting you 3x miles and a seat in "First".
Sadly many of the cheapie YUP fares we have seen in the past have risen dramatically over the past 12 months despite the financial crisis.
