QF/JQ will normally load the stroller onto a crate at the special luggage counter. So far they have always taken good care of our 4WD when Micro DUF was still traveling with one.
QF also allows to gate check the stroller so you can have it AC door to door if you want to.
And in the few cases where an airline has not taken good care of our stroller we received a brand new one afterwards. ^
