Planning a trip to Melburg (the Australian Capital city that has some culcha) with Mrs Shillard and 3yo mini-Shillard. The vexed issue of stroller transport has come up.

Being a right-thinking manly-man in the making, mini-Shillard doesn't spend a whole lot of time on board the stroller, but is likely to be buggered after charging around various Melbourne sites (zoo, aquarium, etc) and Mrs Shillard finds it a lot more convenient to hang bags, etc off the stroller than to walk around in a full tactical MOLLE rig.

Any experiences, tips, traps etc with packing one of these things on QF domestic and JQ? Routing is likely:

NTL-SYD (OT), SYD-MEL (QF in J), MEL-NTL (JQ).

Would prefer to return with the unit intact and functional.
