We're going to Australia in mid-August, and have flights booked RT Syd-AYQ for 3 nights. I guess I didn't anticipate the tents and cabins being sold out at the camping ground at Ayers Rock, but that's the situation. I really would rather not spend $300/night in a hotel, so the only alternative is to bring our own camping gear, something I don't find feasible from the US (but I guess not impossible). Can anyone recommend someplace in Sydney that we could rent camping gear from? Googling for a company led to mostly dead ends and bogus websites. Other suggestions/options are welcomed as well.
