The quality of the chocolate has gone downhill somewhat from a couple of years ago when they had I think Artisan du Chocolat on my flight to SFO. Certainly on my last flight they weren't anything memorable.
I really do love a wonderful chocolate to round off a meal. But I must agree that BA's offerings have often not been really top drawer. And maybe it's better to remove the chocs altogether than have something that detracts from the premium experience.
On JL they serve Demel - now
that is sublime, sophisticated chocolate in keeping with F class! (BTW the boxes are tiny, so less chance of wastage or pax and crew overindulgence maybe.) If you ask anyone to list the highlights of a BA F flight I'm pretty sure the chocolates never get a mention. On a JL flight I actively look forward to the Demel.
