I got charged a resort fee at the tropicana a couple months ago

It was a $30 priceline room for a night and was horrible, like a trashy motel in the middle of no where. I don't know if they have some rooms that haven't been remodeled that they unload cheaply on priceline or if they're all like that. But the resort fee really gave me a laugh when I checked out

I think the fee is just a cheap way to pad the bill that most people won't notice. Nicer places probably prefer their rates to appear higher anyway.
