They have been busy with reconfiguration plans for at least three of QF's Airbus 380's. The proposed plan would increase total seating on the QF 380's from 450 to 641.
No firm order has been placed yet for this seating reconfiguration, but QF is now looking for a way to make money with their 380's on the SYD/LAX and SYD/SFO routes. Ironically with the 450 seat count most analysts believe that QF can't make money on this route with the current drop in fares precipitated by the addition of Delta and Virgin Blue (V Australia) to the route.
You sure?
Airlines make their money from First Class, Business Class and freight. By removing profit making seats they have to charge more for Y?
