I currently have the same situation in BAEC.

I had plenty of TPs for next level (Silver), but the system missed some activity and showed that I hadn't flown enough "BA Qualifying flights" even though I had (most of my TPs came from AA, CX, QF etc., not BA)
I did an RTW mostly on AA,CX and LAN which all should have given me TPs for next tier, but since then I flew BA HKG-LHR which was the flight that the system shows as giving me Silver.

The original flights have now been credited, but after my RTW, so all those extra TPs were lost on a "Points Reset" (-905)

I now have to go through all flights, in order and show that I should have got Tier status in June, and all my July RTW flights should have Tier bonus on the miles, and all Tier points should be in this (new) year.

Hope BA don't give me the same response as you got from CX.

As far as your miles/points are concerned, I would print them out along with the poor response you got, show them to the Lounge pursor next time you're in the HKG Wing and ask her who you should write to (a name, not "Customer Services dept"). It may be that dates are counted as "date posted" not "Date flown" but I think you should have the points credited in the order you flew them.
Good luck
