I'd rather not, though because I am connecting and it would be a disaster if the presentation misconnects. UPS and FedEx are not reliable enough - I'd rather have the comfort of actually carrying this thing through.
Doesn't matter how many screeners respond to you here or what they tell you-the true test is what happens @ the airport when you try to go thru security & I can't imagine you getting thru w/this piece of 'art'.

Check it or ship it-comfort is not in the TSA's vocabulary (see numerous threads re: Shoe Carnival & War on Water for further examples).
