From the JR Shinagawa Stn, Takanawa side exit, cross the street and walk up the side street between the Sony building and Hotel Pacific. It is a fairly gentle slope to the Grand Prince Hotel New Takanawa.
I stayed at the Hotel Pacific twice this year and it is not too bad.
