It's not just entree salads. I noticed the same issue on my ZRH-JFK-LAX flight in Business last weekend. On the ZRH-JFK flight (a 763, so Business is the top class), at "lunch" the "side" salad was huge, and yet the fancy Balsamic came in the same tiny one bottle that they later gave for the much smaller side salad in the "dinner" on the JFK-LAX.
Is this a problem limited to pre-packaged dressing? I know some (creamy) dressings are applied by the FA as they're serving the salad, and I wonder if in those cases they adjust the amount they apply based on the size of the salad?
When the dressings are applied by the FA, they will give you more if you ask.
