interlining luggage on separate aa/qf tickets
Flying ORF-MEL via LAX. Separate AA ticket bought on aa.com as US resident and QF ticket bought in Aus on qf.com.au.

How do I best make sure AA in ORF check bags through and interline? Can/will they refuse? What do they use as the QF reference - the ticket number or the PNR (doubt this as it is Amadeus and they can't see it can they?) ?
