I've noticed a few Embraers over the last few months with the "Eagle Scisccor" logo on the tail all-blue instead of half-and-half. I know that American Connection out of STL does this on their planes but these have been Eagle birds. I wrote down the tail number of some of them but I seem to misplace them every time. Does anybody know what's up with these?
*** EDIT ***
I found the tail number that I had written down. I was looking at N600BP (photo
here). I also now notice that there is no "Regional Jet" painted on the engine nacelles like the other Eagle planes, and the "American" part of the "American Eagle" script is in the "American Connection" font. Doing some more research I see that there were 7 planes transferred (either sold or returned from lease) from Trans States Airlines to American Eagle between February and June of this year. These were N600BP, N814HK, N815HK, N817HK, N818HK, N819HK and N820HK. Maybe they thought they were being tricky by repainting the word "Eagle"... or maybe they thought only a true airline geek would notice?
