Delta management always has some kind of excuse.

Look, fuel hedges are not some kind panacea; fuel hedges are just a means of smoothing out the valleys and peaks of what is after all a key input. They introduce an element of predictability into the business.

Any airline's management that doesn't hedge fuel is stupid (or they don't have cash). As Beckles indicated most all the legacies tried to play catch-up with WN, and now are on the wrong side of the hedge.

I have not see it yet on this thread, but look at Air Trans' 2Q numbers, $78M profit !!!!
