When you are searching on the AA website, if you click on the box next to Aadvantage redeem miles, put in your dates and since your plans are fairly flexible click on the flexible radio button.

When it returns the flights it will show a little color coded calendar, and it will indicate how many miles are needed for each one. If date has a number on it, then seats are available at that cost in miles.
