No lounge, rooms to aim for are "sea-view", overlooking the golf course

How about the upgrade for RAs?
They gave me breakfasts on my last visit

Airport transfer?
It's well over an hour's drive from the airport. Taxis will be overjoyed to take you, and for a lot less money than the hotel car. You might e-mail Guest Relations to ask if they provide transport for RA guests, they have certainly done so in the past.

Any recommendations?

The beach is OK, but not the best. Unless you play golf, enjoy watching others play golf or are on a honeymoon, you are likely to get very bored. You will need to get out for sightseeing /dinner (Canacona) and for that you will need transport. It's a good idea to contract one of the taxi-drivers at the hotel gates to be on-call over your stay, or part of it: the hotel's car rates are eye-watering. But bargain with drivers, and you might want to try one or two on short trips to find one who suits.
