Hilton is one of the best hotels closest to airport--others include Kempinski. Holiday Inn Lido (the one by the airport) is not bad either and closer to airport just some cabbies don't know where it is.

Neither is in the best location for "local" shopping but Lufthansa Center is close to Hilton (right at Kempinski).
