I disagree with the above post by solarprobe. The Hilton is absolutely not the standard of luxury for Beijing Hotels. The Hilton is an OK business hotel (nothing special, they are many others that are better), and by no means should it be taken as the standard (for luxury or otherwise) for Beijing. If you want luxury, I suggest you go to the Palace Hotel, or to the St. Regis Beijing... or (if you can get a room there), stay at the China Club.
