Having experienced the excellent and new Hiltons in Shanghai and Dalian, the Beijing one was a drab disappointment to me. As a Gold I was upgraded to the Executive floor, but found no special amenities other than lounge access. I found the room kind of old and sad, and not something I would expect from Hilton in the Chinese capital.

Depending on what kind of taxi you take from the airport (cheap, medium, or expensive), the fare will be about CNY50 to CNY80, or up to US$10.

We checked out early the next morning and moved to the St. Regis Beijing. Now, that's another story!
