Hi I'm planning my honeymoon for Bali and have no idea where to stay or what to do. I have read a few books on Bali and am a bit overwhelmed on the variety of options.

Basically we will arrive Sept 30th and spend 12 days on the island. We want to stay in a place that is comfortable, luxurious, accessible to restaurants, shops and on the beach f it's possible as I've seen alot of villas that aren't located on the beach.

I'm not looking to drop a fortune on the accomodations since I have a load of SPG points that I'm trying not to use in Bali since they will come in more handy when I'm in a country where the currency isn't in my favor...i.e. anywhere in Europe. Plus I hear staying in Nusa Dua where the SPG properties are won't give me a true sense of Bali.

If anyone can offer recommendations or steer me in the right direction that would be appreciated.
