My only visit to Kanazawa was in the summer, and I thought it was well worth visiting even then. As one of the few cities not to be bombed in World War II, it has a lot of old charm. I especially enjoyed the central marketplace and the so-called "ninja temple." Even Kenrokuen was impressive, with the "crutches" propping up the trees.
