I got a 1000 miles enrollment bonus when I joined AAdvantage in 2006. There is a current offer in Argentina of 1000 bonus miles for subscribing to the AAdvantage eSummary - not sure if it applies to other countries too. We also still get up to 500 bonus miles for bookings made on aa.com ^
