I vaguely remember hearing that a country besides the US started asking travelers to "register" themselves before entering the country. Was this ever true? If so, what came of it? I thought it might be Spain, in which case, if it's still going on, I think my mother and I are screwed, since we're heading to Barcelona Monday.
