I'm a flight attendant, and honestly, I "really don't care" for some of the rules myself, but "it is what it is". I hate it when a non-reving crewmember thinks they can get away with something just because they are a crewmember. I'll make a point of saying to them "stow your bag, please", or "turn that off, please". I don't care if it embarrasses them- in fact, I hope it does- they should know better. Now, if I follow the rules even though I may think some of them don't make a lot of sense, and I make nonrevs follow them, what makes you think you are exempt?

Again, if you ignore the rules you don't like, you may have been lucky so far, but one day you will be "busted", and don't be surprised if you don't like the consequences.

I'm not saying I never break any rules. Far from it. I'm probably a bit of a rebel myself in my "real" life. But for people who are supposedly mostly frequent flyers, you should know the airplane is the last place you want to mess around with breaking "rules and regulations".
