Hi,
I stayed here for two nights ( 5th and 6th of March). ( $79 pnight)
Although the address is I Drive , the hotel itself is around 200m off I drive beside Amerisuites and close to Marriott properites on Universal Blvd ( Fairfied inn and Residence inn i think)
Check in was done quickly and was given suite 432 ( 6 floors). The views were nothing special ( I could see Wonderworks and the construction area) and part of I Drive.
The suite itself was slightly smaller than I thought it would be but still more than adequate for 1 ( or 2 people) - 3 people with one on the sofa bed might find it a bit of a squash around the dining table (2 chairs) and queueing for the bathroom)
I got a letter from the manager and a couple of cookies as a welcome gift ( HH gold)
The dining/living area has a table, chairs, cooker, microwave large fridge/freezer and all theccutlery together with a dishwasher and coffee maker. There is a sofabed and a large TV with a VCR ( and microwaveable popcorn- very tasty). The TV included the WDW tour and the Orlando travel guide channel.
The bedroom had a king bed another tv, fan on the ceiling, smallish cupboard with enroom suite and a dressing area with the sink.
The bathroom was smallish with basic decoration with the bath/shower and toilet ( the sink is outside).
The evening hors d'eurves ( Mon-Thr were tasty and offered salads, soup on Wed ( shrimp on Thrs) with wine, beer and soda available.
Coffee was always available during the day in the atrium.
Breakfas was good ( 7-10 am) with the usual continental selection plus waffels, scrambled eggs and bacon.
Juice was out of a machine which also offered apple and grape.
There was usually a queue for the waffels which I avoided ( I go for a second helping of Fruit loops !!

-which we cannot get in the UK so It is three packs in my suitcase

.
For the evening recepption and breakfast you get plastic plates and cutlery.
On Friday morning the "Swan" character came round and entertained the children.
Breakfast was busy but finding a seat was no problem.
The fitness room is on the 2nd floor.
The main problem with the hotel is the pool.
As other people have mentioned as it is between the building wings it only gets the full sun for around 4 hours ( if you can move from one side of the pool to the other) then you are in the shade. Apart from that the pool is large , deep enough ( 3ft-5ft) and warm and open 9am-10pm.
The hotel manager came round our tables on Friday morning and said hello.
Later on while I was waiting for reception to become available ( i was next in line) to request a late check out( check out is 11am ) he came over and asked if there was anything he could do.
I asked if i could have a 1:30pm ( to get back to MCO for 2pm ish for a 6pm VS flight)(check out and that was no problem at all and that he would take care of it with the front desk- a very nice touch and good customer service).
The hotel is around a 5minute walk from the Pirate Cove crazy Golf and 10mins from Pointe Orlando shopping centre (the sidewalk is currently closed so you have to cross I Drive) and from the Mercado ( with Gooding supermarket and Ripleys believe it or not).
Overall a pleasant area to spend a couple of days especially if you are out and about and very good value at $80pn but if you are coming to Orlandoto relax by the pool and soak up the sun then due to the shady nature of the pool I would recommend that you stay elsewhere.
This negative comment only affects the pool , the rest of the hotel is very good and the manager certainly appears to take the time to vist the guests at breakfast and talk about any concerns.
Regards
TBS
