I have felt that pain, albeit 2 hours on MAN tarmac waiting for an unfogged LHR slot. The most annoying part was that I was told to turn my off my mp3 even though we knew we were going nowhere. "the engines are on, so all electricals must be off"

Seriously considering a sony walkman, the original, for a bit of retro cool. Always used to have that on all though take off, but perhaps these modern planes are now susceptible to breaking due to an analogue cassette player.
