Due to limited availability I booked a 1st and a Biz class seat for me and my wife for next June LHR>DXB in hopes that another 1st or Biz class seat will open up and we can sit next to each other on the trip. AA agent told me to keep calling back and over the course of the next 1 year and that one 1st or Biz class seat will open up and we can change our tickets around to sit next to each other in whatever Class becomes available. In your experience, is the Agent telling me to call back just their way of getting rid of me or does it really happen that this far ahead of time it becomes likely that 1 seat will open up?
