Thanks for the posts. Yes, they created a new account for me too - I noticed it when I got a new HHonors card in the mail yesterday with a different number. Immediately called HHonors and they combined the two accounts. The 10,000 bonus points had already posted - so it took less than a month to get the bonus points.
