Huh? We buy more in LAS compared with NYC.

The Shopping, if anything is better in LAS compared with Manhattan.
There is Ceasers Forum, the Fashion Show Mall, the mall at Planet Hollywood (whatever its called) and most important of all, The Premium Outlets (all the designer names at a great discount if you do not mind last year's fashion). You have to travel 1 hour outside NYC to get to the nearest Outlet Mall.

We are talking all the big and famous names too!

Do AA and BA fly from the same terminal?
No. BA use Terminal 7. AA are at the next one at Terminal 8/9 but there is a good monorail system that link up the terminals

Can I use a lounge on an AA non-international First ticket? Or with a BA Club ticket the same day? Or a guest with a BAEC silver card?
No lounge access for AA domestic First ticket. A guest with a BAEC silver card will work. But it will be the Admirals Club; not the Flagship Lounge. Remember to ask for drinks vouchers at the AC (OW Saphire benefit)since it is a pay bar.

Should I make the trip at the end of my stay in NYC, or should I make it at the start? I can't make it in the middle. As I really don't want to miss my flight home, I'm tempted to make it at the start.
Make it at the start. Mind you, you will loose most of a day flying LAS-JFK which you will not notice as much if this was at the end of the trip.

Look-up for the Hamption Inn Time Square or the Hilton Garden Inn Time Square - its really like a decent motel in the middle of Manhattan - central, free breakfast and free internet.

Mind you, if you have 3 nights only for both NYC and LAS, I would say just stick with LAS. It is really really really good shopping there. There is a Macy's at the Fashion Show Mall. No Bloomingdales but a Bloomingdales Home Store at the Fashion Show Mall. The hotels are far nicer and loads cheaper compared with NYC. You are spoilt for restaurants you still get evening entertainment at the various theatres there. Just ignore the casino tables and have a great time. We do!
