People complain about ORD is not good for spending overnight has only themselves to blame. Getting into town is easy and cheap. You can easily find 3-4* hotels on PL for 50-70 USD per night.

I have to say spending a night in ORD landside can be a miserable experience. Other than a bathroom, I don't think there is anything available on all 4 terminals. But I think this is the norm on most if not all US airports.
