(indirectly) ... bmi boarding music
Yesterday I enjoyed a quick hop on Ryanair's shortest route anywhere in Europe (PIK-BHD, 20 minutes to cover about 80 miles). During boarding I bemoaned the endless loop of about 12 seconds of whatever predictable classical music it is...
However later that day I was chatting about NI/UK air links and was startled to learn that two close friends (of an older generation than mine) have abandoned bmi, one of their chief complaints being "that ghastly music they blast into the cabin during boarding" that ruins "the normally superior ambience with bmi."
If you were to take a straw poll of regular passengers, surely the majority would vote in favour of switching off the muzac...? It gets repetitive for frequent flyers and annoys people who don't like bmi's choice of tunes. And it might save some pennies in terms of PRS fees, no?
