MONTREAL (Reuters) AC, the country's largest airline, edged estimates with a 4th-quarter profit contrasting sharply with a year-earlier loss.
Montreal-based AC, which vaulted to 10th spot from 20th of the world's carriers when it completed its C$92 million acquisition of Canadian Airlines in December, said net income was C$13 million or 8 Canadian cents a share in the latest quarter, vs a net loss of C$20 million, or 11 Canadian cents a share in 1998.
