One slight correction; while there needs to be enough space for all of the passengers to have a place on a raft there don't
have to be seperate life rafts if the slides are capable of holding all of the passengers. For instance, the 747 doesn't have extra life rafts, since there are enough slides to accommodate all of the pax.

Well on the 767, they are above 16AB and 17AB in the overhead bins. I haven't bothered to look on the other planes, but there may be one raft in the forward part of the overhead bin of 1AB or 1CD on the A320.
I think what you might be referring to on the A320 is actually the survival kit...which is packaged in the same yellow canvas a life is. While it'd be used in water ditching its not actually a raft.
