Not an issue for me, but the dinner service also seemed to be very slow for those further down the cabin. I assumed this may have been something to do with the generator fault, would this assumption be correct? Does anyone have any opinion on this?
My wife's friend and her family were in 10 D/E/F/G. Their IFE systems failed but their seats continued to operate without any problems. Forgot to ask them if they received any mileage compensation claim forms for this. No movies offered in First, so perhaps they provided the portable DVD players to some of the CW passengers without IFE systems?
The First amenity kits were handed out after boarding, but only to the adult passengers. There were 4 children in First, so the usual case of the parents having to request them.
I was served a hot breakfast around 4am and advised that I couldn't have tea or coffee until the Captain switched off the fasten seat belts inidicators. My coffee finally arrived 45 mins later.
I wasn't offered duty free service. When I questioned this I was advised that I wasn't at my seat when the service started [away getting changed], coupled with the fact the flight was running 30 mins ahead of schedule.
