At home we both use TMO and they actually support the phone - call their tech service once you've unlocked phone for set-up settings, etc.
Use the software unlock solution with pwnage and stay away from hardware solutions (gevey plus2 sim, etc.)...POV.
"hacked" ("jailbroken") and "unlocked" are two entirely different things. The poster you were responding to just wanted to unlock. Unlocking a phone does not impact its warranty, and bringing it in for service there is no way that they can tell you had it unlocked using an "informal" service, or if you had it unlocked by your carrier or bought it unlocked in the first place, so no warranty issues. Having a hacked phone is a different story.
