I really don't know. I guess because this flight is operated by an A300 and they go mechanical frequently. I have to tell you though, that i live on CCS. It's common for flights on CCS to be delayed,but lately this has increased. "Guardia Nacional" has tightened security controls looking for drugs. The AA flight is not the only one. Mexicana's & Air France flights are the most checked. I've heard awful stories such as they "perforate" baggage in the process. (Only from Mexicana's flight though)

Remember CCS is totally unorganized, so there's not much of what you can expect from a mess.
