I'll be traveling about the same as last fall flying between RNO and LAX. But I'm flying more and more with WN as their fares are much lower than Horizon's, and their schedule is much more convenient that Horizon. These days, I have to look at the lowest fare (especially since you can't get first class upgrades on Horizon). I'll still make MVP Gold this year, but just barely.
