Looking through the MR program pages, I don't see an exclusion for late checkout for MVCI or resorts. As such, you should be able to ask. However, it may be that they place you below owners in priority.

From my experience, late checkout does happen (since I had to wait 3 hours after normal check-in to get our room at the MVCI Marbella) due to the previous guest checking out late.
